Papaver 'Marlene'

When this bright and popular oriental poppy bursts into life from May to July, it is certain to add interest to your garden displays. Papaver 'Marlene' is one of the most vibrant and exciting forms, with beautiful, large, ruffled purple-red flowers, each with a darker centre. And bees and butterflies and bees love them, too. The seed heads of Papaver orientale 'Marlene' can be dried for attractive indoor decoration. The plant is also rabbit, slug and deer resistant! It prefers moist, well-drained soil, and a position in full sun.
