Dahlia 'Short Track'

When subtle and demure just won’t do, big, bold flowers such as the eye-popping Dahlia 'Short Track' can be just the thing. This statuesque variety is perfect for the middle to back of a border, where its raspberry ripple blooms pop against lush green foliage. Each flower of Dahlia 'Short Track' offers its own unique interpretation of the colour scheme, of crisp white with bright red edges and a hint of yellow. Use as light accents in a rich, warm border, or to really have some fun, pair with other multicoloured varieties for an eccentric and downright bonkers display. Think 'Crème Silence', 'Night Butterfly', 'Pooh Swan Island', 'Dahlegria Bicolore', and 'Honka Mix'. 

Flowering from July to October, Dahlia 'Short Track' is perfect for offering late season colour and interest when all else is beginning to tire. For an extra bushy and floriferous plant, pinch out the growing tip when around 20cm tall to just above a lower set of leaves.
