Dahlia 'Bumble Rumble'

Bring in the bees with Dahlia 'Bumble Rumble'! With those open, golden yellow, nectar-rich centres, it’s an absolute pollinator magnet. This fun, pretty and prolific variety is bound to make you smile with its cheerful good looks and bright, optimistic colouring. A collarette dahlia with a striking colour palette, Dahlia 'Bumble Rumble' has intense raspberry streaks on white outer petals, with a ruffled set of white inner petals flecked with rose-pink. A strong and bushy plant, it holds up the flowers tall and proud on straight stems, giving them maximum visibility. It’s a sure-fire way to brighten up the garden and patio and a feast for bees and butterflies.  

Understandably popular, Dahlia 'Bumble Rumble' looks fabulous in a flower border, where it injects plenty of colour and interest, as well as creating quite a buzz among the bees. Flowering from mid summer until well into autumn, it freely produces plenty of blooms on a bushy, leafy plant. It also makes a superb cut flower, looking fresh and lovely in a vase. At a medium height of around 90cm, it’s easy to combine with other plants. You could try mixing it with vibrant pinks, or more pastel hues – it works well with both. Or plant Dahlia 'Bumble Rumble' in a pollinator-friendly mix with other late-season flowers like Japanese anemones, asters, echinacea and salvias and keep the bees stocked up through to the end of autumn!
