Convallaria forcing pips

Who doesn't love lily of the valley? Each delicate arching stem carries a ladder of snow-white, bell-shaped blooms that have the most exotic and powerful fragrance. These white flowers are set against of a background of lush green foliage. And, once these forcing pips are established in your garden—in the ground or in pots—lily of the valley (Convallaria majalis) requires little maintenance and makes superb ground-cover for damp or shady areas, or for woodland gardens. Don't forget, too, that these exquisite blooms make a wonderful cut flower for scented, springtime posies!

 

We are now offering pre-chilled large lily of the valley forcing pips, which will flower in their first year after planting. They can be planted in pots to keep indoors: the growth will come sooner (flowers may appear in 4-8 weeks, depending on the temperature of your home). No artificial lighting is required. Convallaria forcing pips will give a beautiful display, and fill your rooms with the best of fragrances. After flowering, these indoor lily of the valley can be planted outdoors to give pleasure year-after-year.

 

Or, these large Convallaria forcing pips can be planted straight out into the garden soil, set at a depth of 3cm, and about15 cm apart.
