Amaryllis 'Evergreen'

The award-winning Hippeastrum 'Evergreen' offers an unseasonably fresh, zesty energy with its creamy-green winter flowers. Amaryllis (or to be botanically accurate, Hippeastrum) is a tender bulb usually grown as a houseplant in frost-prone climates such as the UK. It is a magnificently easy plant to grow—the huge flowers offering a generous payback for very little effort. Simply pot your Amaryllis 'Evergreen' bulb in a gritty mix with the top third of the bulb kept above the surface. Water freely when in growth and feed fortnightly with a liquid feed. Once the leaves die back, cease watering, and allow bulbs to enter a dry dormancy until mid to late autumn (when the whole thing starts again!).
